Deworming

Banfield Pet Hospital® offers Deworming. Deworming is the administration of medication to eliminate internal parasites (such as roundworms, tapeworms, and hookworms) from an animal's body.

Gastrointestinal illness diagnosis and treatment

Gastrointestinal illness treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® starts with identifying the underlying cause – which can range from dietary issues to infections – and then providing appropriate therapy such as diet changes, fluid therapy, or medication.

General dentistry

All Banfield Pet Hospital® locations offer basic dental care for pets. This may include professional cleanings, dental examinations, or oral surgeries to maintain oral health and prevent diseases.

General surgery

Surgery is a broad category in veterinary medicine. At Banfield Pet Hospital ®, surgeries may include routine spaying and neutering to common operations, performed to address health issues or injuries in animals.

Microchipping

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, we provide microchipping for pets. This process involves inserting a chip under the pet's skin, with a unique ID that can help reunite lost pets with their owners.

Parasite control

Parasite treatment at Banfield Pet Hospital® may involve administering medication to eradicate and prevent parasites, such as fleas, ticks, and worms, that infest or infect animals.

Spaying and neutering

At Banfield Pet Hospital®, spaying (for females) and neutering (for males) are surgical procedures performed under anesthesia. These procedures can help prevent unwanted breeding and may reduce the risk of certain cancers and behavioral issues in pets.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations are available at Banfield Pet Hospital®. Administering vaccines is a preventative health care measure that can help protect pets against various diseases, such as rabies, distemper, and parvovirus.

The Vet techs were amazing but we had a weekend doctor that I can tell was new (the vet techs even said it after I made a comment about how he was). Anyway, the male doctor came in didn’t really introduce himself, examined my cat’s mouth for all of 2 minutes and did nothing else. He didn’t even get a temperature read! And then come to find out (and I know this because I went to a second vet) he proscribed meds that need bloodwork done ti ensure kidney levels can tolerate the med - news flash he didn’t even ask if I wanted to do bloodwork. He also didn’t examine anything but my cat’s mouth. I won’t go here again. That being said - the vet techs were all amazing and I can tell they actually cared about my cat (James!). I went here last Sunday and like I said wouldn’t come here again.

I never felt like a vet understood or took the time to love on my dog in order to make him comfortable the way that Banfield in Antelope does. I recommend and trust them that every single time that I bring my dog in that he is going to have a good experience and not traumatic and that’s is because they are compassionate and take time to play with him.

I’ve been to quite a few Banfield’s and this by far is the worst one I have ever been to. Due to the vet’s negligence we ended up having to put our sweet dog down. He failed to diagnose her properly. He failed to check her thoroughly. He said the “knots” on her legs were nothing to worry about. He never checked her nipples to see if they were draining even though you could clearly tell they were swollen and not normal looking. We took her to a different animal hospital for a second opinion and was told those “knots” were in fact tumors and when he squeezed her nipples blood and puss gushed out. She did in fact have mastitis and on the verge of pyometria (may have spelled that wrong). Now we have lost our sweet girl because he couldn’t do his job properly. I will never step foot in that place again. I’d rather drive further and pay more than have them see my one of my other fur babies.

I don't recommend supporting this company to anyone. They were recently exposed for making a pet owner pay for a wellness plan even after explaining her pet had passed. They had no sympathy or assistance to offer her. This company is all about getting your money, not actually caring for your pet. No offense to the employees who work at this location, you guys are great, keep trying your best to have a heart in the veterinary field.
