I have been a loyal client of Anaheim Animal Care for approximately 10 years and have trusted them with my two large dogs throughout that time. Even after moving farther away, I continued making the drive because I appreciated the care they had provided. On my most recent visit, I received a phone call asking for my estimated arrival time. I honestly told them I would be about 15–20 minutes late. Instead of showing any understanding or appreciation for my years of loyalty, the conversation immediately shifted to informing me about a late fee. I understand that every business has policies, but customer service also matters. After a decade of choosing this practice, I had hoped there would be at least a little flexibility or a one-time courtesy. Instead, the focus was solely on collecting an additional fee. That conversation made my decision easy. There will be no appointment, no payment, and no future business from me. I will be taking both of my dogs to a veterinarian much closer to home—one that values long-term relationships with its clients as much as its policies. Loyalty should count for something. Unfortunately, it didn’t here.

I finally found a great vet's office where the Dr actually cares about my pet and takes the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions, even though she's busy. The techs also treated my dog with great care. Love this place!

I took our dog there due to get rashes checked out. I don't feel she received the care she needed - the message below was emailed the day after the visit and never answered - the lack of response is what queued this review: Quote from the post-visit email sent on 4/4/2026 : I took our dog to your office yesterday due red rashes on her belly. In all likelihood, we will not be back. Before I make a final call on this decision, I want to give you the opportunity to respond. The key reasons I did not feel that I received through care were: Pre-Conceived notion/confirmation bias of a diagnosis: Despite the neutral statement "red rashes" everyone I talked with yesterday only referred to it as an allergic reaction - the admin at the front desk as well as Dr. Wu. The exam of our dog's Belly took all of 15 seconds and while there were a lot of questions about food etc, the only question regarding her environment was whether she spends more time indoors or outdoors. I don't feel comfortable with that a brief glance was used to "confirm" an assumption Stressors in the office - We had not been to your office in awhile and it was an unpleasant surprise to find several free-roaming cats in the waiting areas (while signs remind waiting owners to keep their cats in a carrier). Our dog can be reactive to cats - It took quite a bit of effort to keep her in a down during the wait. A visit to the vet is stressful for her as well as for the person taking her - This additional level of stress is not appreciated. It was also difficult at the end of the visit approaching the counter with the cats being on top of it, The admin did not really seem to care despite our dog getting overly excited. Please see this from my point of view: I had to control Freya while getting crucial information regarding dosage of the medication Lack of explanation regarding the medications: There was no thorough explanation of the medications - which one does what, and what are potential side effects, how long will the treatment take, what else do I have to look for. Due to the problems mentioned above, I did not think about asking those questions until I got home. All things considered, I do not feel appreciated as a customer and I do not feel that we received the thorough care we expected. I have not yet posted a review online - I want to give your office the opportunity to respond. End quote from the original message. Again, this remained unanswered even a week after the visit. I would avoid this place Edited to add: Interesting - you had a week to respond to my original email and chose to ignore it. You responded to a 1-star review within 48 hours - with a request to contact me to receive an explanation [...] With all (in this case undue) respect - you have my contact information - I challenge you to take the initiative, call me and discuss things. My guess is that you won't and that this is a very public attempt of damage control - prove me wrong!
