  Two stars because I'll still go there to get my dog's care stuff but I will NEVER use their grooming services again. Shelley, as sweet as she is, has no clue what she is doing. Maybe she's used to grooming short haired dogs, or maybe she was overwhelmed because the woman after me checked in 3 huge and unbehaved dogs, but I don't care. I paid over $100 for this service and my dog came out looking terrible! He looked like he wasn't bathed at all. His phanny and private area were not trimmed, he pee pee was still dirty! His eyes weren't trimmed and he still had gunk in his eyes. His shave was terrible, mismatched lengths where you can tell an amateur shaved him, kind of like when I try shaving him myself at home. In between his paw pads were never shaved down properly. She didn't even trim his nails! I promise you, all she did was spray him with some smell good and butcher his fur in a few areas. Maybe this petco is used to servicing short haired dogs, as I said before, or maybe they hire anyone for a groomer here at Tucson's Petcos. But the quality of the work did not match the price. And I say this as someone who used only Petco grooming services in Los Angeles before moving here. See photos for reference. If you have a fluffy dog or a dog with a lot of fur, DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE.

  Max was in for a re-bath after the previous bath left him with mud on his belly and between his hindquarters. This time: as I was told that he would be ready at 3:30 - 4:00, I show up at 4:00, as I approach the grooming counter I hear Max barking non-stop (Max doesn't bark) no one around so I open the door to find Max in a cage with blowers going to dry him; Max is totally freaked out, Ashley came over, I told her to get max out and as he was still wet it was difficult to tell how he looked. I paid for the nail buffing and teeth brushing, gave Ashley a $10.00 tip and left. At home I came to realize that 1. Max hadn't been brushed (as he was still wet) 2. Nails were not done 3. Teeth were not brushed 4. Max's coat still had yellowish spots as did the tail (which was still matted). Nothing was said about Max not being 'done' with the exception of the drying. Not acceptable!
