  Whether I purchase something or not, this store is close to home and I visit often. At least once every two weeks sometimes more. The staff here are absolutely wonderful and always helpful. Ive been to other locations in town and none are as welcoming and well kept as this one. All of my fish and supplies have been healthy and ive never had an issue with anything I've gotten here. I keep coming back, which isnt great for my aquarium addiction!

  We visited this Petco store on RIVER RD. today to exchange some neon tetras due to two aggressive neon tetras that we had originally purchased at a different location. When we called to inquire about the exchange process, the person who answered was pleasant and indicated that it should not be an issue. However, upon arrival, the in-store experience was vastly different. Both the female staff member, who wore glasses and had longer black hair, and another staff member named Brandon, were rude towards us. When we proceeded with the exchange, we were not given the opportunity to inspect the condition of the tetras. The female staff member made a sarcastic remark about the fact that we brought our tetras in a bucket, stating that it was not in a bag. We were not informed that a bag was required for the exchange, and it is not a common requirement in most aquatic stores. Furthermore, the tetras we received had nipped fins, indicating that they were stressed and not being properly cared for. Upon inspecting the tank, we noticed that most of the tetras had nipped fins. When we requested five healthier neon tetras from Brandon, he became aggravated and frustrated, refusing to provide us with the fish and telling us to go elsewhere. We politely agreed to leave. It is unfortunate that the staff members seemed to have a negative attitude towards us, and it is concerning to think about how they might treat animals in their care. Perhaps they should consider a different profession.

  Shout out to Chris who helped me find a harness that was right for my dog. I also appreciated the recommendations for some treats, she loves them!

  While the store itself if fine, the grooming is wildly inconsistent depending on who services your dog. Our golden retriever just came back to us shaved down, she now looks like a hybrid rat - Labrador, with the tail being even more mortifying. Just shameful. 🤦🏻‍♀️

  I honestly don’t understand how this location has so many positive reviews based on my experience. The overall environment felt very unprofessional, and several employees came across as immature and unfriendly. The atmosphere was uncomfortable and not at all welcoming. I had originally planned to get my dog groomed here, but after interacting with Liz and experiencing the attitude as well as the constant lack of professionalism, I decided against it and left. An experience like the one I unfortunately received here is why I would much rather support smaller local pet shops and groomers instead of large corporate chains. Very disappointed overall.
