This place does not understand GSD's enough to care for them. These dogs are high anxiety animals that need to be seen quickly instead of doping them up before. GSD'S are too smart . They know when you are trying to manipulate their behavior with pills. Queen Creek Veterinary took care of them both without a problem. Seems like they were trying to charge me 30 bucks for trazadone that costs.25 a pill.

Went in to have our puppy tested for heart worm after taking heart worm chews for the previous 2 months. Banfield charged me for the ~$49 for the test $30 for 2 months heart worm chews and then ~$85 for an office visit. If I would have known it was going to cost that much I would have taken him to a clinic. $150 was a complete surprise, especially when I did not see a veterinarian

I want to give an overall perspective because Banfield met our needs for many years until recently. We used the pet plan and consistently scheduled two visits each year for about 10 years. During that time, we felt like our pet received good care and we were happy with the service.
Unfortunately, our experience changed recently when we needed end-of-life care and were trying to get an appointment. We scheduled appointments, only to have them canceled because the veterinarian was in surgery. If certain appointment times aren’t truly available, they shouldn’t be offered for scheduling in the first place.
What was most disappointing was how poorly we felt we were treated during a very difficult time. It felt as though the level of care and concern changed once they knew they would no longer be receiving our business. After 10 years of being loyal customers, that was especially frustrating and disappointing.

I took my puppy in for some medication refills on July 16 and we saw Dr Herod. I booked this appointment for blood tests because during my last appointment I was told they were free because of my wellness plan and should use them before the expiration date. I get there and they say it'll be 200$ for the blood work. I was confused but asked if they can do something without it. They took her back for 20 min and brought her back out. We waited another 30 minutes for the dr. I understand its a new system so I'm not upset about that. What I'm seriously angry about is the Dr coming in and stating that she doesn't see a grade 4 luxating patella and she doesn't see my baby in any pain. I didn't ask if she had a grade 4 I KNOW she does because an orthopedic surgeon diagnosed her. Dr Herod didn't feel comfortable filling the anti-inflammatory for her pain because she doesn't believe in it. I don't care if you believe in the medication or her being in pain. I know my puppy and shes in pain every day. I'm also upset because whatever was done during examination has inflamed her leg to the point where she can't stand without collapsing. I am very very disappointed in the treatment of my baby. I will be taking my business elsewhere and when this plan is over we will not be renewing.

We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
What kind of appointment do I have?
• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
