  Very disappointed with Petco. I placed an order expecting it to be picked and ready when promised, but that didn’t happen. To make matters worse, the item I specifically needed was shown as in stock, only for me to find out they didn’t actually have it. If your inventory system says an item is available and a customer places an order based on that information, the store should either fulfill the order as promised or communicate immediately that there’s a problem. Instead, I wasted my time expecting an order that wasn’t handled when it was supposed to be, for an item they apparently didn’t even have. This was frustrating, inconvenient, and a complete waste of my time. I expected much better organization and customer service from Petco. Based on this experience, I would think twice before relying on their online inventory or pickup service again

  After being turned away from a rescue shelter when taking a dog to check if it was chipped. My next option was to Google, a pet store near me. Petco was nearest to the shelter. That turned me away when calling the store a lady. By the name of Leslie picked up the phone and assured that they did have hey chipp scanner and I will be able to bring this lost dog in. She was very kind and check this puppy out on fortunately, the puppy does not have a chip now to look for its owner. Thank you again, Leslie for being so kind in such difficult moments, especially not even thinking that a pet store was willing to help out after a shelter turned us away.

  5/5! The place was clean the animals were happy and healthy. It didn’t stink and nothing was dead. No rude workers and had actual mini meal worms in stock. Please use these employees to train employees in the east valley especially East Mesa.

  Love Petco. The checkout gal was so nice. She asked about the food I was buying and when I said my dog was having some stomach issues, she told me to try rehydrating with hot water as that seemed to be working better for most folks. So nice to have someone who has some expertise and cares about animals enough to ask about them.

  My kids and I come to this Petco a few times a month for our bunny supplies and fishies. My son has wanted a guinea pig for a few months now and last week when we went to get our bunny supplies there was a guinea pig that he was interested in and wanted to hold it. We walked to the front of the store where I found an employee with the name tag Dee. She was having a conversation with somebody else that was employed by the company and we came up to her and asked if we could look at the guinea pig. She informed me that they do not let people typically just hold the animals unless they are interested in buying them. I told her we have a bunny at home and my son has been interested in getting a guinea pig and we wanted to see how they react around him and how he reacts around them and we would potentially buy one today. She proceeded to tell me that she would be with me in a moment. My kids and I walked back where the guinea pigs were and we waited about 5 to 10 minutes until we decided to just leave because nobody was going to come help us. We walked up to the front and were checking out and Dee walked in from the front of the store and asked if we were ready to look at the guinea pig AS WE ARE CHECKING OUT. I informed her that she had had us way quite a bit so we were just going to go look somewhere else. She then tried to tell me that the person she was speaking with was her boss. I told her if that was her boss that she was speaking to that that was even more of an issue that I was waiting for over 10 minutes. I work in customer service. I have my entire life and I know that if that was in fact, her boss, I wouldn’t have been waiting at all. I I am heavily tattooed, and I feel very profiled by Dee and her customer service, she had no interest in helping me. I’m going to start driving 10 extra min to pet smart just to not have to ever deal with that lady ever again. Truly don’t know how she has a job and gets away with treating people that way.
