  Our experience with Banfield Pet Hospital and Dr. Dr. Mahitha Gudavalli was one of the most unprofessional experiences we have ever had with a veterinary clinic. Our dog’s ear condition still has not improved after treatment, and instead of receiving support, honesty, or accountability, we were ignored and dismissed. The biggest issue is that treatment options were not clearly explained to us from the beginning. During the first visit, my mother and brother were present for the drop-off appointment, and staff informed them they were going to perform drainage/aspiration. Nobody clearly presented surgery as a separate option for us to choose from. Later, when I personally went to the clinic asking for answers, Dr. Mahantia initially refused to come speak with me. I had to ask for the practice manager, and only after the practice manager intervened did the doctor finally come out to talk. She did not properly introduce herself and immediately claimed she had already explained both surgery and drainage options to my family on the first day. That is completely inconsistent with what actually happened during the visit. What made the situation worse was the complete lack of follow-up and communication afterward. I repeatedly asked for phone calls and updates regarding my dog’s ongoing condition, but my calls and concerns were ignored. No accountability, no urgency, and no genuine concern for an animal that still needed care. Pet owners trust veterinarians with animals that are part of their families. We expected professionalism, honesty, communication, and responsible follow-up care. Instead, we were left with an untreated ongoing issue, poor communication, and a doctor who avoided responsibility when concerns were raised.

  Incredible staff at this location! My dog, Walter, is a sensitive boy and he gets very nervous for his vet trips, but I can tell the wonderful staff makes him feel safe. They have really gained Walter’s trust which also calms me! We are so appreciative of the kindness and care here. They also do a wonderful job with teeth cleanings and are very communicative throughout the process- Walter‘s teeth look beautiful after his cleaning yesterday! Thank you all, you’re the best! <3

  We absolutely adore Karen. We have been lucky enough to be scheduled with her as the assistant the last few visits and our dog recognizes and loves her. We will be requesting her moving forward!
