- TGTara Gregory2 days ago1.0⭐ 1 Star – Extremely Disappointed and Concerned About the Quality of Care I am extremely disappointed and upset with the care my dog, Sparky, received at this Banfield Pet Hospital location. I brought Sparky in because he was clearly sick and needed medical attention. After evaluating him, Banfield diagnosed him with a viral infection. Unfortunately, that diagnosis was incorrect. Sparky actually had a complete bowel obstruction that required emergency surgery. What is most upsetting is that we trusted this veterinary team to properly evaluate our dog and identify a potentially life-threatening condition. Instead, we left believing he had a viral illness while a serious medical emergency remained undiagnosed. As a pet owner, it is heartbreaking to watch your animal suffer, especially when you have already sought professional veterinary care. This experience caused unnecessary stress, additional medical expenses, and, most importantly, delayed Sparky from receiving the treatment he desperately needed. I understand that veterinary medicine is not an exact science, but a complete bowel obstruction is a serious condition, and I have significant concerns about the evaluation and diagnosis Sparky received. I am requesting a full refund for his visit and accountability from Banfield’s management and corporate leadership. Our pets are family, and we depend on veterinarians to provide thorough, competent, and compassionate care. Unfortunately, this experience has completely shaken my confidence in Banfield Pet Hospital. I would strongly encourage other pet owners to seek a second opinion if their animal continues to show concerning symptoms after being evaluated here.

Dr. Selah Green is amazing—she’s very kind, explains everything very well, and always makes me feel comfortable and informed. I leave every appointment feeling happy and confident knowing my puppy is in very good hands. I wouldn’t switch locations or doctors at all!

What is an Optimum Wellness Plan?
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
How do I pay for an Optimum Wellness Plan?
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.

• In-room appointments: You and your pet visit the vet together. Please arrive a few minutes before your appointment time
• Drop-off appointments: If you have a drop-off appointment, we will communicate a time to drop off your pet. Keep your phone nearby and we’ll call you when your pet is ready for pickup.
• Optimum Wellness Plans® Virtual Visits: If you have an Optimum Wellness Plan and scheduled a Virtual Visit, you’ll save valuable time and get quality care from the comfort of your home.
