  Luis (manager ) told me to go to another store and refused service after expressing my frustration over a transactional issue where I had given the desk person $100 bill for $40 worth of items I was told only ones and fives were in the register, to witch I offered to pay with my card instead, instead of communicating any issue Luis blankly stared at the register for three minutes throwing his hands up in frustration before communicating there was an issue on the system end when I expressed my frustration I was told to go to another store , I was not helped till i mentioned that I would be leaving a review and even then the guy was passive aggressive the whole time

  I had an extremely disappointing experience at Petco due to the behavior of the manager, Luis. My children and I came in to purchase a goldfish for our home aquarium. We have a properly set-up fish tank and have successfully cared for goldfish in the past. Instead of helping us, Luis immediately questioned our intentions and challenged us about why we wanted a goldfish as a pet. To my surprise, he refused to sell us a fish and stated that we were only allowed to buy goldfish if they were being used as bait. This made absolutely no sense and was contrary to our intention of purchasing a pet for our aquarium. What was most upsetting was the way he spoke to us. He argued with me in front of my children and employees, was rude and unprofessional, and even stated that he would deny any future fish purchases for my family. I was completely taken aback by his attitude and lack of customer service. I understand that stores have policies regarding animal welfare, and I fully support responsible pet ownership. However, there was no reason for the confrontational and disrespectful manner in which we were treated. This experience left me feeling embarrassed, frustrated, and unwelcome. I hope Petco addresses both the accuracy of the information being provided to customers and the professionalism expected from its management team, Luis!

  Petco is a big box store. It's like Walmart or Home Depot, but obviously they sell things for pets. They have a lot of items and the prices are okay, just as you'd expect from a big box store.

  The manager who was working on Friday May 29 2026 around 2-3 pm is one of the rudest people ive ever encountered. All the other staff was super polite but him. He has a horrible attitude and treats customers poorly. Hard to believe he is the manager.
