- JAJessica AideJul 27, 20262.0I have mixed feelings about my visit. The groomer did a great job overall, and I appreciate the time and care that went into grooming my two dogs. However, I was very disappointed with the final price. I normally pay around $140 for both dogs. I was asked if I wanted to add the de-shedding service for my large dog, and before agreeing, I specifically asked how much more it would cost. I was told it would only be an additional $11, so I said yes. To my surprise, my final bill ended up being almost $200. That was much more than I expected and completely outside my budget. If I had known the total would be that high, I honestly would have taken them to a more premium grooming salon where I pay around $180 for both dogs. I also noticed that my small dog came home with a small cut on her belly. It wasn’t a serious injury, but it was clearly bothering her. Another issue was that my large dog’s coat wasn’t trimmed at all. I had specifically requested a teddy-style trim in the grooming notes before the appointment, and I also mentioned it again in person when I dropped him off. Unfortunately, that request doesn’t seem to have been followed. I also pay extra for the bandana every visit, yet almost every time I pick up my dogs, I have to come back because it wasn’t put on them. Since it’s an add-on that I’m paying for, I shouldn’t have to return to have it added afterward. I did leave a tip because I appreciate the groomer’s work, but with the unexpected total being so much higher than I was led to expect, the visit ended up well outside my budget. I would have loved to leave a bigger tip if the final cost hadn’t been such a surprise. I hope there can be better communication about additional charges before services are added, along with more attention to customers’ grooming requests and the services that customers are paying for.
