  We come here quite a bit to get our girls nails done as well as getting her groomed at times. Ms. Julie and Mr Sam are always so nice and accommodating. Our girl has hyperkeratosis so her nails grow at an abnormal rate, so most times we are a walk in nail appointment and Julie is always willing to help us out. She is the best and treats our girl with so much love! We love coming here and could not recommend it enough.

  I am incredibly disappointed with my recent experience at Petco Grooming. On July 7, I brought my 14-year-old Shih Tzu in for what should have been a routine grooming appointment. He has been professionally groomed for years without any issues. When I picked him up, I noticed the area where his eye had been removed years ago had been shaved much shorter than ever before, exposing bare skin. Over the next several days, that area became severely inflamed and infected, resulting in an emergency veterinary visit, blood work, medications, and hundreds of dollars in veterinary bills. While I understand that complications can happen and that no one can say with absolute certainty what caused the infection, what is completely unacceptable is how I was treated afterward. The grooming manager, Julie, displayed one of the most disappointing examples of customer service I have ever experienced. At no point did she express genuine concern for my dog’s well-being, ask how he was doing, or offer a sincere apology that my senior dog was suffering after his grooming appointment. Instead, every interaction felt defensive and dismissive. Even when I spoke with her again yesterday, her tone and attitude toward me were cold and unprofessional. As a customer whose dog required emergency medical care shortly after being groomed, I expected compassion, empathy, and concern. Instead, I was made to feel like an inconvenience. As pet owners, we trust groomers with members of our family. When something goes wrong, regardless of whether fault has been determined, basic kindness and genuine concern should be the minimum standard. A simple “I’m so sorry your dog is going through this. How is he doing?” would have gone a long way. Instead, I was left with a sick 14-year-old dog, significant veterinary expenses, no apology, no meaningful concern for his health, and a grooming manager whose attitude only made an already heartbreaking situation worse. I sincerely hope Petco provides additional training in customer care and compassion for its management team. Professional grooming isn’t just about giving a haircut, it’s about caring for the health and well being of the animals entrusted to you.

  Supposed to have a bath, nails clipped, ears and teeth cleaned, and glands suppressed… not sure what she had done besides a very exspensive bath I could’ve given her 🤷‍♀️
