Over the years, we have had great experiences with AVES. They treated us and our babies with respect, care and compassion when we had to make the very hardest decision to let our pets go and on the flip side walked us through every step and detail of emergency care and even major surgeries. Front office team, surgical staff and DVM’s all top notch! Most recently, Dr Matt Field preformed BOAS surgery on our Frenchie - Lola - and the results are immeasurable. We highly recommend AVES!

I want to say thank you, to the amazing folks on the night crew. We brought in a stray calico cat last night that had been hit by a car. Its spinal cord had been cut so he/she had to be euthanized. I’m both sad but relieved. At least that fur baby is no longer in pain. You all are awesome. Keep up the great work taking care of these fur babies. To the person who hit that cat. How do you hit a cat and not know you hit a cat. You left it to suffer, so I wish a similar fate for you. Accidents happen, but I think you know what you did. I’m just thankful that he/she crawled up into our yard and we got them to the right folks to end its suffering. Rest in peace, sweet baby.

We brought Violet into AVES as a last resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were quick and responsive to all my questions. Dr. Columbus even called to check on her several days after our visit. I would definitely recommend AVES for emergency care!

I am so grateful for the wonderful staff at AVES. We adopted a one-eyed kitten, not knowing he had lost his eye because he had been shot and had significant jaw damage as a result. Our kitten was eventually unable to open his mouth and needed a feeding tube and surgery on his jaw. The staff at AVES not only provided excellent medical care to our beloved Cheddar, but also loved on him and cared for him like he was their own pet (and, honestly, provided excellent emotional support to us along the way). Dr. Columbus and Dr. Field were exceptional and so were their support staff. The team at AVES saved our cat's life and we will be forever grateful to them!

It took me a little while to be able to sit here & write this. I used to have a fur baby named Cowboy. 14 years ago as I was escaping a severely AB marriage with my young children I decided to get a little aussie puppy. He was in the kennel at 8 weeks old already barking & he never stopped "talking" ever ❤️ We had so much fun during the middle of my whole world crashing down & becoming amazing all at the same time. Cowboy was our guardian, my shoulder to cry on & my distraction as I made life normal. He was there helping me raise my babies & helping them get into trouble 🤣 He would lay there & let the babies use him as a step stool to get onto the counter, let them do his hair, throw shredder cheese all over him, anything they wanted. He cuddled ducklings, kittens, bunnies, ferrets, baby turkey & many other tiny helpless animals & I never had to worry about him hurting them. Most importantly he cuddled my babies & other people's babies & was an angel. He had all kinds of fun adventures all over Arkansas & Texas & truly lived a long, happy life. I wish everyone could have a Cowboy. Although, I dont wish this heartache on anyone. To some he was just a dog, but to me & my children he was much much more. I say all of that to say, the amazing people at this clinic took the absolute best care of my Cowboy & me in his final hours. They saw us in the middle of the night, flooding their floor with tears & hating life in that moment. Every single person we saw or spoke to was amazing, patient & kind. They went FAR FAR above & beyond for us & I will never forget their kindness ❤️ They even called my normal vet for me to let them know we wouldnt be making it for his scheduled uthenazia. I hope you never face what we did, but if you do these wonderful humans have your back. Thank you all so much!!
