- DDD4 days ago1.0I have been taking my dog to this Petco for grooming for the past two years. When they added a materials fee, I understood because it was reasonable, and my grooming appointments were still around $54. However, during my last two visits, they added a deshedding package without ever asking for my consent, increasing the total from about $54 to over $100 with tip. The first time it happened, I assumed it was a mistake. When a different groomer did the exact same thing at my next appointment, I realized it wasn't. I was told it was because my dog is a heavy shedder, but I already brush her regularly with a FURminator. More importantly, if that's the reason, why is this suddenly becoming an issue after two years of grooming at this location? Regardless of the explanation, no business should add services that significantly increase the bill without first getting the customer's approval. Everything is expensive enough as it is, and I shouldn't have to worry about surprise charges at checkout. My dog already isn't very comfortable with grooming, and paying over $100 for an appointment that feels rushed just isn't worth it. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, where pricing is transparent and customers are asked before additional services are added.

They’re always careful with our Miss Priss and dote on her even though she can be moody and hard to handle some days🤭, and she hates the hair dryer! We appreciate all of them! Btw, the shampoo they use smells absolutely amazing 😍!!
