I used Dr. Harris untill he retired from small animal care and now Dr. Baxter is there and ironically we're both from 100 miles south of the Shoals but Dr. Baxter was my veterinarian as far back as 1985 and will be until he retires..... Excellent care and compassion for our little ones and there's nothing better than a small town Dr. when it comes to great care, I highly recommend!!!!!

I have used All Animal Clinic for years for many different animals. Horses, cattle, dogs…. I took our new puppy for her 2nd round of shots and to get her in as an established patient 8/18. Everything was fine. 8/21 she was feeling unwell so my husband brought her back to have her checked out. Her gums were checked, her coat was checked for signs of dehydration. At this point, she had been vomiting and unable to hold down food and water but luckily wasn’t dehydrated yet. No testing was done to see if maybe she was sick with something. I was on the phone with my husband to be involved in the exam. He (the vet) explained that she seemed healthy (gums, coat), asked what kind of dog food she was eating and reprimanded me for it having dye in it (valid but I didn’t know and was thankful for the info given). We were told that the vet seeing her “didn’t feel a lighter, a kitchen sink, or a hammer in her belly.” But she was never given an X-Ray to rule anything out, either. We were told it was probably an adverse reaction to the shots she received Tuesday. She was given a shot of Benadryl and nausea medication and sent on her way with a request to follow up Monday if she was feeling better. That did not help. We ended up at the emergency vet. After parvo test and bloodwork came back fine, they did a x-Ray. She had a foreign object lodged in her small intestine. Which could have been seen if the vet would have been more proactive in trying to figure out what was going on with her. I understand that things happen and sometimes ailments get overlooked, but you have a 9 week old puppy that is completely different from when she came in 3 days ago, so something wasn’t right. So emergency exploratory surgery, a 3 day stay at the EV, 13 staples, and $2800 later, it’s safe to say that we will not be back to this facility due to what we feel like is negligence.

Dr Kappen is AWESOME! My 13 year old had senior blood panel done and when results were in (about 1/2 hr later) he came out and sat down and went over line by line and thoroughly explained the numbers. He started my Lucy on medication for Cushing and after 2 weeks wanted to check her progress….checked her, no office charge. Later I had questions about Cushing, medication and treatment, Dr Kappen was unavailable when I called but within 1 hour he called me back and explained everything I needed. From the front office staff to the techs to the Dr. EVERY SINGLE ONE CARES about your pet and you. They know our animals are our family! I’ll never go anywhere else!!!!
