Refuse to treat my sick dog, due to my inability to pay. They say “payment is mandatory” yeah, before or after someone has a dead pet? They absolutely refuse to do anything unless I was gonna pay. They where disrespectful about it to. And gave me the run around when I got there. I get there check in everything is fine, one person comes in takes her symptoms and didn’t even examine her and said I can send home a medication for her for this and this is how much it costs, and I told that person my financial situation, For backstory I get SSI. Then they said I’ll be back and talk to someone to see what we can do about that, about 20 minutes go by, someone else comes in gets the same thing I told the first person, but this 2nd person says we can do these tests and this is how much it’ll cost, once again explain my financial situation, again they say they are going to talk to someone about it. About 20 more minutes go by, someone came and said I can apply for care credit, and while I was apply my dog was showing the things I said was wrong, they came in, after me getting them looked at her said “oh poor baby” then left. I finished applying for care credit, I didn’t get approved. So I tell them and they said we will talk to someone. No time passes and they come in and say we can’t treat her without payment upfront And while I was waiting for my ride, they wouldn’t even look at me. I was there for over a hour before they said they can’t treat her without payment. So when has it ever about the lives of pets here?

A few weeks ago my cat was lethargic and they were able to work her in to be seen. I got there and they took her back to draw her blood. I heard them hollering to one another that they had “stuck this cat 20 times and can’t get blood”. Considering I was the only customer there I highly doubt they were referring to anyone else’s cat. I am completely understanding that when an animal is sick it may take a stick or two maybe even three to get a good vein but for that to be hollered out loud where an owner could hear was very unprofessional. We have used center star vet for 15 years and I was very disappointed.
