  I’ve been taking my dog to the Banfield location on University Drive in Huntsville for his appointments for some time, and I’ve never had a major issues until recently. This location now appears to have a significant number of new employees, and while I understand that staff turnover happens, it does not excuse negligence or poor customer service. My dog has never left Banfield as flustered, stressed, and ready to leave as he was when I picked him up this time. To make matters worse, the staff misplaced my dog’s leash. When we asked about it, a newer employee with facial piercings tried to convince us that she had simply carried my dog back into the office rather than bringing him back on his leash. Because we knew that wasn’t what happened, we asked Petsmart to review the cameras. The footage confirmed that she did, in fact, take my dog’s leash and ultimately misplaced it. What was most disappointing was the resolution—or lack thereof. The most they offered was a nail trim at his next visit, despite the fact that the nail trim is already included in the medical plan we pay for. That doesn’t feel like an actual resolution to the issue. I understand that mistakes happen, especially with new staff, but taking responsibility and making an effort to properly address the situation matters. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because the level of care and professionalism I experienced during this visit was noticeably different from what I’ve come to expect from Banfield.

  I have used this vet service for over 10 years, while I haven’t always agreed with the vets I’ve been satisfied. Until now. My dog passed away May 27 at the clinic. They were very compassionate and caring. I trusted them to handle the private cremation for my Harley with a company I believe they called Pet Angel. . I was told he’d be back in 7-10 days. I didn’t hear anything for 3 weeks - I am hating I waited so long. They didn’t have him and said they would call and find out why. They called and assured me the place did have him but not processed yet and they couldn’t say why. A supervisor was suppose to return a call. I waited 2 days and went into the clinic asking what happened to my dog and why I don’t have answers . They promised to call Pet Angel again. I waited until the end of the day and called, again no answer. Was told I’d have to wait another 3 days . Somebody knows something and I’m not being told. Not only am I grieving the loss of my baby, I’m beside my self wondering what happened to him and if I’m ever going to be bringing him home again. I can’t stop crying over this , I miss him so much and the not knowing what happened to him is killing me. I don’t know where the real blame is here- I just don’t think enough is being done . Meanwhile , I still have to keep waiting and wondering when or if I’ll have my baby back.

  The entire team at Banfield, from front to back and in-between, are outstanding!! They truly Care about their pet patients and the pet patients' families. We have been clients there since 2009 and highly recommend them to all pet owners in search of great and caring veterinary care.
