- LOLauryn OwensJun 30, 20263.0I appreciate the service Vetco offers with being able to pay for vaccines and not a full exam. My only complaints were appointment times not being honored and the lack of coordination with pets and owners. I arrived 20 minutes early. Received a “text 3 when you arrive” text. Replied 3. Waited 15 minutes. Called in asking if it was okay to come in with my dog, as there was no response to the check in message and I wanted them to know I was on time. I was asked to wait in line and someone would be with me. 20+ minutes past my appointment time, I was checked in. An additional 15 to actually get called over for shots. Not the end of the world, if the environment was less chaotic. They set up at the entrance of the store and owners just stand around with dogs barking and lunging at each other until your dog’s name is called to walk over to the vaccine area. While I was there, there were 6 owners clustered around, some with multiple dogs on tandem leashes, and it was chaotic and highly stressful for the dogs. I’d strongly suggest having owners and their pets wait outside or in their vehicle until the clinic is ready for them to prevent this chaotic and potentially dangerous situation. A cluster of dogs with mixed personalities and tolerance of other animals is risky. Again, very appreciative of the techs and the price point, and I guess you get what you pay for, but a smoother system would likely prevent frustration from both owners and pets. Ultimately the dog is under the control of its owner, but helpful measures for a smoother clinic would be appreciated. Going forward I will pay the exam fee at my vet to avoid dealing with this.

- DADevin AndersonNov 18, 20222.0This is a cheaper option for vaccines because you don't have to pay for an appointment cost. It's also a shorter wait time than a standard veterinarian office appointment. However, if you go here make sure you ask a lot of questions and do your own research prior. The side effects of the bordetella vaccine weren't verbally explained and my dog threw up in the car (common side effect not mentioned). They recommended the Lepto vaccine but didn't tell us it was two doses and we would have to come back in two weeks and pay for another shot until after the injection was done. We also brought all of our medical records, which they looked at, and they tried giving him shots he already had.
