We have been taking both our dogs for a few years now and the doctors here are all wonderful and they have a tech named Alice who rocks! She remembers our older dog and all her past issues and we just love the care that she has for her job. There’s been a lot of new staff and we have had some mistakes and confusion with other dogs at the front desk, that was rough.. but I really want to highlight Alice and her customer care and work ethic as it is stellar!

Dr. Boatright was very patient in explaining the serious medical condition of my geriatic cat and she took care of the end of life procedure. I also appreciated the care and concern from her vet tech and Emma on the front desk. Sorry to hear Dr. B is leaving Banfield on 8/29.

Just moved to this area and was not a huge fan of the banfield (medical center area) I was used to going to. Though skeptical, I was extremely impressed by the service and care given to my dog Benny today. Paris was SO friendly and very efficient. It felt like I was in and out. All the employees looked like they enjoyed being there which makes it a comfortable environment.

My dog Rudy passed away recently, and I’m devastated. I had called Banfield about switching her antibiotic, but the approval didn’t come until the day after she died. Even if it might not have changed the outcome, the delay left me feeling helpless when she needed care the most. I hope Banfield improves their communication so other families don’t go through the same.

I have been a Banfield patient for awhile but I must say the Bay Area location is by far the worst. I just recently got a new 6month old dog. I had an appointment at 11am and when I arrived they told me the vet was in surgery. So they rescheduled me for 12. No big deal I walked around the store and worked with the new puppy. When it came time for it to be 12 I was called back and the vet Tech name was Alex I believe. (Short brown hair and a tattoo sleeve) I’m not sure if she was having a rough day or not but the customer service was not there. I explained to her I just got this dog the day prior and he was new to me and I just wanted to have a full exam to check what issues he may have. He forsure had skin irritation under his belly and in his paws. He also has some hip and joint issues from the negligence he had prior to my care. She did not weigh him when we got there, I had to request for his weight. She did not touch the dog or examine the dog while in the room. She did in fact tell me he looked “terrible” but couldn’t explain to me what that meant. She seemed very uninterested in helping us and like she wanted us to be done. They took him to the back for maybe 10 minutes gave him his shots and came back and said he was good to go. NOT ONCE did the vet come in the room like I had asked and expected. They did not address his skin concern. I had to ask Alex “well what about his skin?” To which she said “oh it could be scabies”. No solution was offered no medication prescribed just so nonchalant. I have other animals at home the lack of attention to the health of an animal is ridiculous. We also did a wisdom swab on his teeth, once again the vet tech said the results would be back in a couple days and they would call me and let me know. It’s now been a week and I just called and they said the results won’t come for another 2 months. That’s a huge difference. I’m extremely disappointed in the care of this location. I hope they can use this as a learning experience of what not to do with patients.
