  Store is clean, well stocked with the (frozen) food I buy for my medium size mixed breed dog. I truly believe that food is why my dog celebrated her 14th lap around the sun on November 4th. We still walk everyday albeit at a slower pace, thank you Petco for her long healthy life!

  Today I went into the store not really looking to buy anything but my son wanted to go see the fish. My son wanted a gold fish so I went to find one of the employees so he could get 1 fish. My 3yr old son was so excited about the fish. the employee asked what kind of tank we had and I let her know we had a bowl and she proceeded to say that due to gold fish growing so big she wouldn’t recommend adding another fish unless I had a 15 gallon tank. Told her the tank we have is 10 gallons so I didn’t understand the big deal about us buying 1 fish to add to the 2 fish we have. She proceeded to tell me that unless I buy a bigger tank she would not sell me 1 fish. I looked at her so confused because never in my whole life have I ever heard of requirements to buy fish. My son left the store not understanding why he couldn’t get a fish. So if your looking to buy fish from this store be prepared to be questioned since there is now restrictions and requirements on buying fish.

  I bought a very expensive snake from here and asked for it to be double boxed and taped so that it wouldn’t get out because I have had bad experiences with the snake boxes before and so I left the store confident. I didn’t make it out of town before my wife told me that the box felt too light and I needed to check it. Not only did it not have a second box but it also was not taped. Needless to say the snake got out while I was driving and I have yet to find it I have set out many heat and food traps inside my truck and no luck so far. I called the night it happened and was told that I was out of luck because they know the snake was in the box because the workers were playing with it at the register, I honestly don’t even know if it even ended up coming to the truck with me because like I said I thought the box inside the big box was taped. I just hope that it’s not in my truck at this point so that a 500 dollar snake dying doesn’t turn into a mechanic bill as well. I am never shopping at this Petco again and strongly recommend avoiding it at all cost.
