On another note: how dense, self absorbed and unprofessional are you people to see a negative review of a dog euthanized with a condition contracted in your care and your immediate reaction is to insult them? Edit #2: after the response from the owner on Yelp (attached). Bloat is not measured in terms of severity. It is 100% fatal without major surgery. Georgia was well into an advanced stage when we picked her up and the employee said that’s how they found her. Splitting hairs in this situation instead of owning up to the absolute lack of empathy, professionalism, and concern is why anyone with a beloved pet should absolutely not use this facility for boarding. I’m floored by the responses I’ve received. I attached a previous text from the same manager received at 1124a, stating Georgias condition was “almost like she’s bloating”. Almost. Georgia was fully bloated, catatonic, wide eyed, pale gums, and disoriented when we arrived around 1145a. Again, this state was acknowledged by employees as the state she was found in. My dog is dead. 11/3/25 boarded for 5 days. Last day I was called and told she had a bloated belly and threw up. My dog was practically non-responsive when I picked her up. Had to put her down a few hours later. At a loss for words right now. Edit: a manager of Tailwaggers contacted me to tell me my dog was responsive that’s how she walked out of the facility. So let me clarify, my dog was already in shock when we arrived. Tailwaggers called me at 11:11a to ask if they could take her to the vet because she threw up and had a tight tummy, not that she was in shock. And we were there by 11:45a and we were told that she had been in that condition since “this morning”. My dog was as good as dead before they even called. How DARE you.

I’m having to scramble to find boarding for my dog since my normal spot is booked for the dates I need later in the month. I tried to call three times and no one comes to the phone. This prompted me to look at the reviews and I’m glad I did, because seeing a pattern of the terrible conditions Tailwaggers puts the dogs in was divine intervention to not bring my dog here.

We are extremely picky and protective about where we board our dogs. Tailwaggers exceeds our standards for our dogs care while out of town. I never worry about them because I know they are getting a vacation too. Every time we pick them up, they are happy and relaxed. If you’re a dog owner you understand when a dog is stressed from being boarded, but you’ll NEVER experience this at Tailwaggers. Our dogs are always excited to go and as a “helicopter” mom the staff always puts me at ease with their knowledge and confidence with the dogs. Now we just drop them off without a care in the world knowing they are well attended and cared for. The staff truly loves dogs. They also board cats. I’m not a cat owner, but the cat facility is very tastefully done. If you pouring over reviews looking for that special place for your pet, I promise you, this is the place. You’re welcome!

Tex has been to Tailwagger's numerous times. I don't know what they do to make it so fun, but he boards the van wagging his tail and comes home wagging his tail. It's like he's going on a vacation instead of me!! Actually, I do know what they do - they give great care to all the dogs there and they give them a lot of play time in the play yard, which Tex just can't get enough of. I'm always assured when I'm out of town that my dog is getting the best care he possibly can and having a blast to boot!!
