  I was seeking to register for their adoption program for dogs however, they only participate in cat adoption. However, the store has a lot to offer in pet supplies.

  A bunch of teenagers run the checkout center and it’s evident not a single one of them has been taught manners. Or trained in the slightest to be polite to customers. Every month I spend 200+ at this location and today is the last day I’ll ever buy something from petco again. A few months ago, I came up here with my dog to get his treats and toys. My pup was excited and did jump and put his paws on the counter. The female associate thought it was a great idea to comment. Have you ever thought about getting him some training? First of all, I did training classes there at PETCO, which was not cheap, secondly, not her business to be in or make commentary about. If a dog putting his paws on the counter at a pet store bothers you, maybe it’s time to look at a different job. I notified the manager about her unwanted opinion and comments. All I was told was sorry. I’ll look into that for you…. Fine. Secondly, I came in today March 4 to buy my dog, his dog food and a dog toy. The dog toy was put in a completely different spot showing that the toy was7.49 But it rang up as 15 and some change. I told the cashier hey that was in a completely different spot labeled as hedgehog, which was what the toy was as 749 and there’s a spot next to it that shows another hedgehog, but those toys in that spot are not hedgehogs and there’s several of them in that spot so with the toy that I wanted being in a different spot and Different toys being in the spot that the toy I purchased may have come from. I felt like I was owed that 749 and not the 15 and some change. However, the male pink haired associates response was “sometimes they get misplaced” with a slight chuckle and mild head nod, indicating that it wasn’t his problem. If there’s several toys lined up in one spot that’s not labeled as that said toy in the toy that I’m trying to purchase isn’t in the right spot with the right price displayed that’s not misplaced that just means that whoever stocked the shelves doesn’t know what they’re doing. And if you know that’s a common issue that sometimes they get misplaced maybe there should be a routine check that the toys are in the correct place so that the customer who is occupied by their dog doesn’t Need to read the labels and do half of your job for you. I should be able to just go and purchase something and know that it’s gonna be that price at the counter. The manager came over and said hey what toys are you speaking of and I went over and showed him that the toys that were in that spot weren’t even the toys that it said it was as. Instead of apologizing and refunding me the difference because I was right he just moved the toys over and said ‘huh I guess that’s not even those toys at all’. I let him know. His associates attitude wasn’t appreciated and left. No one even offered to help carry the dog food out…. Also, their vets just put a bandaid on things instead of resolving the actual issue. I’ll be finding a different vet and petco will not receive a single penny from my pocket moving forward.
