Petco has very good programs to help save money on food and supplies. The problem that I have is the carebfor the animals. We always go around and look at all the fish and animals when we go to buy food. The poor red eared sliders they have in this store always look sick. I noticed one female that was in the tank for a while. I told them twice that she did not look good. The manager said that he would make sure that she was looked at. The next week, I went in there and she was worse. She had an open wound on her neck. I told him that I was reporting them. We bought a beardie from there and spent a lot of money in vet bills and still had to have him euthanized. We bought one from DFW Reptile and he is thriving. Please, beware if you buy animals from Petco. They do not take care of the animals that are making them tons of money from selling them. To me this is the equivalent of going to an adoption agency to adopt a child that has not been cared for properly. I hate leaving bad reviews, but I can not let the lack of care and compassion for animals go unnoticed any longer.
