Hidden fees and poor communication. I asked three separate times for a full estimate for my cat’s spay surgery, including a worst-case scenario cost. Despite this, when I arrived for the appointment, multiple additional charges were added that had not been discussed beforehand, even though I already had an active subscription with this hospital. After dropping my cat off, I received a call an hour later about yet another unexpected fee for an additional blood test. This test had not been included in the estimate or the contract I had carefully reviewed and signed. My cat had already completed bloodwork twice at this clinic, so I asked for clarification on why the test was suddenly required. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a clear explanation and was told that the test was not necessary so we said go ahead with the surgery, but Dr. Paiva continued to push more even though she confirmed it was unprompted. She even tried to sell us by saying that a medicine that the front desk had told us was absolutely necessary was actually not and would use that fee to contribute to the fee for this test, showing clear ineffective communication between the staff. I was ultimately told the surgery would not proceed without it after my cat had already been prepped. Because of the repeated changes in pricing and lack of transparency, I had to pick up my cat without the surgery being completed, leaving feeling exploited and frustrated. During this interaction, Dr. Paiva was dismissive and ended our call with “do whatever you want,” which felt unprofessional given the stressful situation. I value clear communication and transparency when it comes to my pet’s medical care. Based on this experience, I will be seeking veterinary services elsewhere. Keep your pets and your wallet away from here.

Don’t use this Banfield. The vet docs may be ok, but the front desk staff is incompetent and will not get you your pet’s prescription called into your pharmacy. Ever.

Almost killed my friends dog by misdiagnosing him with heartworms. Then gave him trifexis even though he supposedly had heartworms. That could have killed him! Had my friends convinced their dog was dying. I took the dog to my vet to have the dog put down and explained why. They heartworm tested him and he's negative! This perfectly healthy beautiful dog almost died because of whatever scam this place has going on. If you love your pet don't take them here! Looks like I'm not the first review where heartworms were misdiagnosed!
