The worker checking me out said I can get a discount if they sign me up for their membership which would cost me $10 a month. I said okay since I planned on using the membership for a few months. Fast forward to today. I thought I cancelled my membership last month but I was charged so I called petco support to get the membership canceled. They told me I was locked in a 12 MONTH MEMBERSHIP and that I’m locked into this commitment. I feel mislead by petco staff at this location and overall this is some shady business practices. It should always be disclosed by the Petco staff in their store locations when a member membership they are signing you up for at the checkout counter locks you in for 12 months. Ultimately, I explained the story to Petco support and they were nice enough to cancel this locked in membership. I recommend avoiding this location altogether, considering their staff only seemed to care about making commission and screwing you over on a membership.
