I'm beyond frustrated right now. My wife and I have been taking our pack to Banfield for the better part of a decade now. Most of our experience has been good but as time has gone on, we've been having more and more issues with the quality of service, especially during the last two months. About two months ago, we made an appointment for our Husky to get a spot on his elbow checked out that had gone bald. We told them that it appeared recently and we're worried because it was progressively getting worse. They sent him home and just said that we needed to get him some padding for his kennel and that the tray was rubbing. Bought a really nice orthopedic bed designed to go into a kennel the same day and even put him in a cone so he wouldn't mess with the spot. A few weeks go by and the spot continues to worsen, not get better. We get him in for another appointment, and surprise surprise, it's infected. Get him on antibiotics and a padded elbow brace and slowly but surely it starts to look better. We then take him in for his routine check up and a follow up on the elbow. During the checkup we asked for nail trim and ear cleaning, since we're already there, why not. We go to pick him up and they say he's good to go, just keep the pad on his elbow until the hair grows back. Didn't give us any notes about any other concerns. He gets home and he's constantly shaking his head like he's got water in his ear. OK no biggie, he just got his ears cleaned, maybe it didn't drain fully. Get some cotton balls to try to help dry it out and it seemed like it helped. 48 hours later, he's scratching at his ear like it's bothering him. We call Banfield back saying "hey is it possible the ear cleaning was done incorrectly, he's starting to show signs of an ear infection" to which the person on the phone claims "oh yeah he had a bunch of debris come out when we cleaned his ear, he must have had an ear infection already". ARE YOU KIDDING ME. They never once even suggested the possibility of an ear infection when we picked him up. Never suggested there was anything to even monitor regarding his ears. Personally, I'm convinced the ear cleaning was done improperly and the infection was caused by it being improperly irrigated, especially considering he never presented any signs of issues with his ear before this visit, but even if it was preexisting, now I'm going to have to take another day off of work to deal with an issue that could have already been resolved if they just did their job in the first place. Two times now within a matter of a few months they've neglected to help my boy. All while charging substantially more than any other vet in town for basic procedures, even with having the wellness plan. Shout out to Ruby and the other front desk staff for always being a delight to work with, y'all are the only reason this isn't a one star review.

Vets are great. The issues are drop off and pick up is so slow you even by pre checking in online it doesn’t help. Maybe it’s staffing issues it’s always ridiculous the wait.

Let me start out by saying, the doctors here have always done a great job taking care of our pets: my problem here is with the business model. I have been a Banfield customer for more than a decade and have spent THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS through my wellness plan, while simultaneously never meeting their vet. Truly, I have never let their vet. Years and years, and I have never even seen Dr. Nancy Zalinski's face. The 'turn and burn' appointment style, of just dropping off my pets, waiting hours to hear any update and then picking back up is impersonal, unprofessional, and anxiety-inducing as their parent. I want to have a relationship with the veterinarian I choose for my animals. I want to know who they are and have space to ask questions to their face! I canceled my wellness plan and cannot wait to start the top of next year with their new doctor.

The people are very attentive, patient, and sweet to my pets needs. Dr. Zalinski examined Myla and provided very valued information on carrying for Myla. The Dr. Is the best.
