- SLSuzanne LaRocqueNov 26, 20255.0This little guy was recovered from underneath a car in my neighbors driveway. When Dr Rainey saw him, he was covered in fleas and ticks. After the wellness check and some testing, he was underweight, dehydrated and very anemic. His tests showed hookworms, Anaplasmosis and a critical blood count. The only option was to work with him and see if he would get better. Becca, Leah and TJ were very understanding, empathetic and gentle not just with this sick dog but with me. It was a very emotional time to see a dog so sick. I worked daily with him on a high protein diet, protein snacks, Iron drops and multi Vitamin B drops. We followed up in 1 month and he gained almost 2lbs and his labs were in normal range. The foster family fell through so he is still with me and I’m still working to get his weight up and improve his health. Dr Rainey, Becca, Leah and TJ saved his life and were a comfort to me when I didn’t know what to do. I’m so appreciative to the compassion they showed.
