  Review: Petco Southeast Military & Austin Hwy – An Absolute Embarrassment of a Store These two Petco locations are hands-down the most incompetent, unorganized, and clueless stores I’ve ever dealt with. I bought 10 fish from the Southeast Military location, and when several died, I got treated like I was asking for a favor instead of following their own 30-day guarantee. The Southeast Military employee had me re-enter my phone number over and over because she couldn’t figure out their system, and then somehow still managed to not save the transaction. Their mistake — their screwup — and guess what? I was the one punished for it. Austin Hwy is no better. They hid behind “we can’t see the transaction” like it’s a magic shield that excuses laziness. Instead of helping, they dumped the problem back on Southeast Military like a hot potato because apparently neither location wants to take responsibility for anything. I even called Southeast Military ahead of time and was told they would honor the guarantee the next day. I drive 25 minutes there and 25 minutes back — for absolutely nothing. Suddenly no one can do anything. Suddenly policies don’t exist. Suddenly everyone is confused. What a shock. Both stores act like the “guarantee” is optional depending on whether they feel like working that day. The level of unprofessionalism, attitude, and straight-up laziness is unreal. If the staff can’t operate their own register system, can’t honor their own guarantee, and can’t stay consistent from one day to the next, maybe they shouldn’t be selling fish in the first place. Save yourself the headache — these locations are a waste of time, money, and oxygen. The situation was so ridiculous and mishandled that I ended up walking out in pure frustration — I even chucked the dead fish in there because at that point, what else was I supposed to do? They wasted my time, refused their own policy, and treated me like I was lying. That’s how bad their customer service is.

  This was Cinna 1st time getting groomed at Petco. She was calm and relaxed when I picked her up.

  I was at pet co on sw military drive today watching the girls in front cut the dogs nails and this one lady was pulling on the dogs arm hard . Another dog was trembling cuz he doesn't know what there doing to him . She should have tried to talk to him to calm him down but instead she was talking to another co worker. They just seemed rough in there. If those were my dogs I wouldn't want people being so rough with them . I was so annoyed so I decided to make this post!

  Caroline did an excellent job grooming my 10-year-old Border Collie, "Tank." She's always the one I request, as she gets along so well with my dog. He's one happy doggie!! Thank you Caroline and thank you. Petco. Five stars across the board!!

  For starters I just had a quick visit but I didn't see any customer service reps ask if I needed help or anybody else for that matter. At checkout the rep was very nice and very curtious.
