I had a frustrating experience at this clinic. I do want to start by saying the receptionist was very kind and patient, especially given they were dealing with an internet outage that day. Unfortunately, the veterinarians on duty did not show the same level of care or empathy. I had sent a message earlier in the week requesting pain and sedation medication for my dog to get him through until our scheduled appointment. Due to the internet being down, I understand that message may not have been seen. However, when I arrived, my regular vet had already left for the day. I was told the other veterinarians could not prescribe anything, which I can understand from a policy standpoint. What was most disappointing was that when I asked for guidance on over-the-counter options or anything I could do to keep my dog comfortable through the weekend, I was told—through the receptionist—that they had no advice to offer and that I should wait until Monday. Being sent away without any guidance for a pet in pain felt dismissive and uncaring. I would have appreciated even basic recommendations or reassurance. This experience left me questioning the level of support (or competency?) available when my primary vet was not present.

I had my cat come in for surgery per the doctor. He had just the root in his tooth that was already infected. The surgery, I was told, went well and they were able to get the entire tooth. I found out a year later after realizing my cat has been biting. I figured maybe an infection may have came back. I went to a new vet in Temple and half of the root was still in his gum and has gotten infected again. I should’ve have checked once I got back from the surgery. I also should’ve been able to trust the surgeon to either make me aware of the leftover tooth or get the full tooth.

My sister has gone here for years, drives an hour each way for it and love it and now I see why. The staff is truly one of the best veterinarian teams I’ve ever seen. Incredible compassionate, understanding, patient and through. They made one of our toughest days a little easier and easy to understand. So thankful for this team.
