Can I bring my dog's bedding?
You are welcome to bring your dog’s bedding with you. Familiar items such as their own bed or blanket can help ease anxiety and provide added comfort while they are away from home.
Can I bring my dog's food?
We suggest bringing the food your pet regularly eats to keep their diet consistent. We also offer meals at a daily rate if you choose not to provide food. If you do bring your own, please pre-portion it into individual servings so we can feed your dog the same way you do at home.
Do you have indoor and outdoor kennels?
We provide both indoor and outdoor kennel options to support your pet’s comfort. All overnight accommodations are inside our indoor kennels, which are safe, secure, and climate-controlled. Outdoor spaces are used during the day for exercise and fresh air.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Your pet’s well-being is our highest priority. During inclement weather, all dogs stay indoors in our climate-controlled kennels. Outdoor activities are modified or reduced as necessary, and pets are only taken outside when conditions are safe.
Do you have special amenities for my diabetic animal?
Yes. We have experience caring for diabetic pets and can accommodate their specific needs. Our trained team is able to administer insulin, manage feeding schedules, and follow veterinary instructions to keep your pet safe and comfortable. Please share your pet’s care requirements at the time of booking so we can prepare accordingly. An additional fee applies for diabetic boarding due to the increased care, monitoring, and insulin administration involved.
What options are available for boarding?
We offer three boarding options to accommodate different needs. Medical Boarding is designed for pets requiring additional care, The Camp is our standard boarding option, and The Resort delivers a luxury boarding experience.
We also provide Kitty Condos for our feline guests. These accommodations are located separately from the dog area and are insulated to minimize noise, creating a quiet and comfortable setting for cats.
What vaccinations does my animal need to board?
To protect your pet and all of our guests, all boarding animals must be current on required vaccinations.
• Dogs: Rabies, Distemper/Parvo (DHPP), and Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
• Cats: Rabies, Feline Distemper (FVRCP), and Feline Leukemia (FeLV)
Proof of vaccination is required at booking. If you have questions about your pet’s vaccination needs, our staff is available to assist.
Does my dog have to be neutered or spayed to board?
Spaying or neutering is not required for boarding. Unaltered dogs are housed separately to maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all guests.
Do you board puppies?
Yes, we welcome puppies. Puppies are accepted at A Crate Escape, and we take extra steps to ensure they are properly supervised, safe, and comfortable. Puppies must be current on age-appropriate vaccinations, and bringing familiar items from home is encouraged. Puppies must have received three vaccine sets starting between 6 and 8 weeks of age.

At A Crate Escape, we are able to administer medications and supplements during your pet’s stay to maintain their health routine.
• All medications and supplements must be provided in their original, clearly labeled containers.
• Dosages and schedules are followed based on veterinary instructions or written owner guidance.
