Dr. Anderson and Marie (technician) were amazing. My father-in-law passed away suddenly and we took his senior dog here to get assessed and updated on vaccines, etc. They were very helpful, knowledgeable, and empathetic.

I should’ve listened to the bad reviews. I scheduled my dog for a vaccine and a vaccine only, which I made sure to let know when booking the appointment. Once there, they wasted my time by trying to oversell a lot of different stuff. My dog just had bloodwork and wellness check a couple months ago. I shared his records, they insisted which was never the same case in other locations. Waste of time and definitely never using Petco again. The staff (they didn’t even introduced themselves) wasn’t welcoming at all or willing to solve the issue. Avoid.

We scheduled an exam for our new maltipoo puppy over the weekend, we planned to get her shots at TCAP and have them do the exam. I told the vet tech this information who then told Dr. Anderson. They took our puppy to the back for her exam, and only the doctor returned to give us a report. She said our puppy look healthy overall but is “underweight” the entire time Dr. Anderson was speaking she stated our puppy could “die” continuously. I understand giving new dog parents knowledge, but she was overally insensitive. Even when I made them aware that we were going to get our puppy shots right after her appointment. She then stated that my 9 week old puppy needed to wait 3-4 for her next set of shots… which would make her less protected to get sick and she would already be 12-13 weeks to get her next set of shots? Didn’t sound right. She said our maltipoo puppy(who was the runt of the litter) weighed 1.9 pounds, I asked her what should her weight be, Dr.Anderson replied and stated she can’t say, so why say my dog is underweight if you don’t even know what weight she should be?
I feel like she felt the need to exaggerate her words so much because we told them we weren’t getting any work done through them, and through TCAP instead. She didn’t ask if we had any additional questions, didn’t talk much about expectations for our puppy..she just continued to use the word “die” over & over.
I have never had a bad experience with a vet before but I will make sure I won’t return here. I hope Dr. Anderson reflects and chooses not to be so insensitive with her customers in the future. I rather go to Thrive.
