A couple of years back I would’ve given banfield 5 stars and recommended them in a heartbeat but that’s definitely changed. My husband and I brought our Doberman to banfield MULTIPLE times for 2 years due to skin infections and a mass on his chest which was also due to a “skin infection”. We were always sent home with a medicated shampoo, some kind of spray that was supposed to help (never did), and antibiotics. We were also advised to change his food and that actually seemed to make it worse. Unfortunately, we had to rehome him so we sent over all the medical records we had from banfield. 2 days later, we received a text from his new owner after taking him to a vet, that he actually had fevers CONSTANTLY, his red blood cell count was low and he had thyroid issues. Banfield NEVER made us aware of any of those issues, we were always told that “all his test came back normal” … but clearly that wasn’t the case, our pup was suffering. I truly believe banfield has become more about the money rather than the wellbeing of our pups.
