They recommended blood work, but we couldn’t afford it, so we asked for a physical exam instead and see what she can take .After the exam, they told us she was doing fine and reassured me she still had plenty of life left. The veterinarian was patient and answered all our questions thoughtfully, which we appreciated. But it’s crazy to me how she said my dog had plenty of life left, yet she didn’t. My dog hadn’t been eating or drinking and looked very unwell. We also paid for a rabies shot, which felt unnecessary given how weak her immune system was but since they said we couldn’t leave without it we had no choice. Unfortunately, my dog passed away today which is heartbreaking. While I understand we couldn’t afford the blood work that might have helped, I feel her serious condition was overlooked or minimized during the visit. I wish the vet had been clearer about the risks and shown more urgency. I hope this review encourages other pet owners to ask thorough questions and seek second opinions if they have concerns.
