- CWCharlee WilsonNov 30, 20251.0The two workers on at 6pm Nov. 30th were absolutely unhelpful, too busy chatting amongst themselves to be precise about timing policy on the self dog wash. What a waste of time on a Sunday night. I arrived at 5:45 and two tiny dogs were ahead of me at the wash station, which they informed me of, I said no biggie I’ll wait and wander around. Then went back and said oh I’ll just pay for it now so we don’t have to later they’re almost done... we’re talking 6:02pm and then was informed the wash closes at 6…………I realize they need to clean the area prior to leaving and being off work at 7, but if you can’t clean up a dog wash station in 30 minutes you’re probably not a very efficient employee in other facets…..I used to love shopping here for our dogs, cats, horses, and tortoise, but will avoid and go to tractor supply down the road. Also telling a patron that owns over a dozen animals that “a cement slab, hose, and dish soap go a long way” is probably not the move. Thanks captain obvious…. major “read the room” teaching moment. Big yikes…

- VCVictoria ColyerNov 26, 20251.0This was my second time visiting this Petco while traveling, and unfortunately it confirmed that the company has major issues with customer service and cleanliness. I came in to use the self-wash for my dogs. I waited at both the grooming station and the front counter with no associates in sight. When someone finally came, they charged me for the self-wash but didn’t offer a receipt, didn’t explain anything about the process, and handed me a small basket with two dirty-looking towels. I was told to go to the self-wash area and that someone would “eventually” come show me how to use it. No one ever did. The self-wash tub was filthy; there were even dead fleas visible in it. After waiting again for help, someone peeked their head out from the grooming station and, with an annoyed “ugh,” briefly explained the buttons. I ended up cleaning the tub myself before bathing my dogs. The wash had no noticeable scent, there was no conditioner within reach (I’m short, and it was placed way above the tub), and overall the setup was poorly maintained. No one ever checked in or offered further assistance. I’ve already had issues with my local Petco, and to have the same level of neglect at a different location is disappointing. It’s a shame to see this lack of care and professionalism across multiple stores. Petco needs to seriously improve cleanliness, training, and basic customer service.
