  I’m honestly really upset about what happened with my family dog at Petco Our dog is a senior and he does get nervous, but he is not aggressive. After one grooming visit, they labeled him, and now that’s following him everywhere. My sister literally drove out of her way to take him to another Petco, and they denied him just based on notes from this location, the petco in Austin wouldn’t even give him a chance. That’s what really bothered me. No one tried to meet him, work with him, or see how he actually is. He was just written off.He’s older. He gets shaky. New environments stress him out. That doesn’t mean he should be turned away completely. Now I’m stuck trying to find somewhere that will take him, all because of one experience. It’s frustrating and honestly really unfair. Just something to think about if you have a nervous or senior dog. I have a young Doberman and I’m going to assume because he’s too excited and jumpy they’ll write him off as well.

  I don't know who the lady was that helped me last night, but she was fantastic. She was friendly and super helpful. I just found out my dog is in renal.Failure, and she helped me find some kidney friendly.Dog food.She explained different brands different types of food and help me pick out ones for her to try.She explained what I need to do to get her prescription card.What to tell the vet to put on the prescription?She was just great.Thank you so much!

  I like the fish area and the people working it. But the other people in the store are so uninvolved and uninterested it’s hilarious. I just tried to call to ask about a fish shipment and all I got was “huh” “I don’t know when we get deliveries that’s a warehouse thing”

  My wife had a negative experience. During checkout, an item she paid for was not included in her order. She noticed the missing item when she got home. The next day, she returned to the store to explain the issue. The staff contacted a manager, but my wife waited over 15 minutes, and the manager never appeared to resolve the matter. My wife simply had the cashier charge her for another item and left. She is a regular customer, purchasing pet food, and advised the cashier to be more careful when processing orders and ensuring all items are bagged.

  I just left here, i came in for a few reptile items and my husband wanted me to price match but i missed that part, so i had to go back in and i was approached by a girl, Sky who was very rude. She was very adamant she could not help me while all the other employees were saying yes you can and even offered to take over but she wouldnt let them. Kendell was SO nice and helpful. She checked me out the first time before i came back in and understood where i was coming from and told her i was JUST in. But Sky kept making me feel like i was doing something wrong or being sketchy. It was super unprofessional from her. I hope this gets taken seriously because this is why pet stores like pet supplies plus has higher ratings with the customers and simple fixes. Again, loved Kendell. But Sky needs major coaching/training. She kept going on about how she just got there and all that and did not sound like she wanting to be there or help me at all. I don’t think I’ll be coming back here anytime soon. I did let a leader know before I walked out about my concern. So I again hope it goes somewhere.
