  I am so very happy and thankful for CJ! He took great care of care of my babies and they look beautiful! I was so nervous because I have never used a groomer before but he made me feel extremely comfortable and my baby dogs too! I will be using them again and highly recommend that you do as well! Ty CJ!

  This review is based on using Kontota for nearly 3 years. In that time, every single groomer I have gotten is different. They have a very high turn over rate, which tells me they aren't paying their techs enough, or there are fundamental management issues. I have a golden retriever. He is very sweet and sometimes shy. The first few times I used Kontota, the experience seemed great. The groomers i got seemed to genuinly love being with animals. I would get pictures during the process, and they would usually do some sort of silly little bandana or something. I was paying about $350 for this though, so honestly, I figured if I was paying that much, then this is the least I could expect. On Thursday, Nov 20th of 2025 I had them out to get my pup groomed up before Thanksgiving. The fellow who arrived was not personable, however I figured as long as he did a good job, I guess it didn't really matter. The other groomers who were out generally spent between 2-3 hours with Finn. This guy was done in under 90 minutes. When he brought Finn back to the door, he couldn't get away from the guy fast enough. He ran in the house and hid in his bed. That seemed very strange. Usually after a bath and a haircut he seems quite proud of himself and is very sociable. I asked the guy how Finn did, and he mumbled something about "he was scared but we got through it". At this point, I'm not thinking there is a problem, so I pay the guy, tip him, and he leaves. Finn doesn't leave his bed for the next 2 hours. And when he does finally get up, he is visably limping. I checked his foot and found that when his nails were clipped, they were clipped WAY too short, and one was done so poorly that the nail was cracked up into his foot. If you aren't aware, a dog's nail is not like ours. It is part of their bone. So when a nail splits, it is like having a fracture in your bones. I took Finn to the vet the next morning and they cleaned up his paw, wrapped his foot, and put him on pain killers. The very next day I get a text from Kontota saying, "HEY! We haven't seen FInn in a while! We would love to schedule a visit!" I reply that they just saw him yesterday, and as a matter of fact, I had just returned from the vet with him. I then sent over the vet bill along with the diagnosis from the vet showing what happened. They reply that they will show this to management. I got no reply from them after that until today, when they sent me a message asking to schedule another grooing session with them. A that point, I was frustrated enough with them that I decided to write this review. These guys injured my dog. They took no accountability. And they blindly keep messaging me for more appointments. Not only did I pay them over $350 to hamr my dog, I then paid another $150 to have him treated at the vet. Edit: While they did not reach out to me after the original event, once I posted this review, I did end up hearing from the company. After speaking with them, they ended up reimbursing my vet cost.

  Not an inexpensive route by any means but I trust these groomers. Vix does a fabulous job with our dog! So patient because our dog is a puppy and not an easy visit!!!

  This review is a mix. The groomer was great- he was patient and knowledgeable. He did however, return my girls damp and not fully dried and I was not happy with that. However, the staff were extremely rude when I called about the exorbitant pricing—for two dogs it was over $300 which surprised me because the first time I used them the bill was closer to 230. And this time, one less service was performed but it was more expensive? When I called customer service and tried to explain the discrepancy, the help was combative and dismissive and did not want to hear my concerns. She talked over me and basically said, it is what it is. The level of customer service I received was egregious and I will never use them again and the neighbors who inquired bout them, have been warned. I’m sure this won’t put a dent in there revenue but this kind of service doesn’t happen in a vacuum and it’s only a matter of time before it’s more pervasive and customers begin to wane. Save yourself and your money and use another, more reasonable service.
