- PRPamela RossiterNov 29, 20251.0Drove from Georgetown to get my cat’s vaccinations, but it gives you the wrong directions. Then they texted the address without specifying North or South. So maps took us to a parking lot. Then when we finally get there, Vetco people had already left even though it says they are open online! Terrible experience! Crappy directions!! What a waste of time!!

They had the wrong location in the confirmation email and didn’t text the correct one until a minute before the appointment and putting that location in also sent us to a wrong location. When we finally got to the right one they left. Horrible experience!
- HBHolden BlackFeb 8, 20251.0We arrived early, as requested. We checked in when requested. Our check in was not noticed, so we spent over 45 minutes waiting to be notified that the vet was ready. Other dogs were being seen, so I thought they must be busy, no big deal. In fact, our check in had been overlooked. When I asked to be seen, there was no hint of apology, just "oh.". Ok, let's move forward and hope for the best. All we needed was a heartworm test. I walked into the exam area, and informed the tech that my dog was treated roughly at a recent vet visit, and that I would appreciate some tact when handling my dog. I recommended that they let me hold her. They said they can't do that here. This is understandable. I get it. I said, well, at least let me lift her onto the table. "We can't do that here." So, the guy proceeds to put a slip lead over my dogs head and tries to pick her up with ZERO finesse. She struggled to get away from him, because: WHY SHOULD SHE TRUST THIS RANDOM GUY IN PETCO? Do you think she recognizes your uniform, my guy? We have been walking around this store FOR AN HOUR, and then out of the clear blue sky, one man puts a leash on her and tries to pick her up? 30 seconds after she encounters him, with no tact, whatsoever? Many dogs can handle this just fine. I get that. I would have been far more understanding if I hadn't wasted an hour of my day walking around a store that is now on my blacklist.
