  Please do not take your pets to this facility for any reason. I had a terrible experience with my dog, Ira, that could have cost her life. I began bringing Ira here in 2023. Her most recent visit was on April 6, 2025, for her annual check‑up. During that appointment, Dr. Katharine Eick examined her. As noted in the visit records, I specifically pointed out Ira’s heavy breathing and persistent coughing, and I asked whether these symptoms could indicate an underlying heart issue. Dr. Eick told me Ira looked fine and that her respiration was normal. I trusted this facility, so after being reassured that Ira was okay, I did not pursue further evaluation. Fast forward to November 10, 2025, Ira had to be rushed to the VCA emergency hospital, where she was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), a heart murmur, and severe mitral valve disease. I nearly lost her that day. She had to be transferred to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists for high‑flow oxygen, and I spent nearly $11,000 to stabilize her. Had I known she was sick, I could have started her on heart medication months earlier. This facility has done nothing to acknowledge or compensate for the clear oversight—an oversight that any well‑trained veterinarian should have recognized based on her symptoms alone. I regret not trusting my instincts and not seeking a second opinion sooner. I have reported Dr. Eick to the Texas Board of Veterinary Medical Examiners, because this level of negligence is unacceptable and dangerous.

  Wonderful experience with a visit for my dog for a routine vaccination. Staff were all very kind to my dog, and gave her several snacks after she was a good girl!

  Thank y'all for being so sweet and gentle with my old boy during his euthanasia. I seriously can't thank y'all enough. He was very peaceful throughout the entire process.

  Have been using this Vetco for years. I was 10 minutes late because I got caught behind a wreck and they cancelled my appointment. I spend thousands of dollars here to be treated like that! Wow!

  Above and beyond. Dr. Padron and staff are amazing. Always a good experience when coming to visit.
