The attention was really bad! I was charged extra for “the extra time” which makes no sense when they tell you it’s going to be 3 hours and they only take 2. The groomer says she was very “wiggly” although every other time I have taken her to any groomer they say the exact opposite. the haircut was bad. It looks all different sizes and uneven.

Gen took such wonderful care of our dog Milo as always. She has so much patience with him since he has so much anxiety with getting groomed. We truly appreciate her kindness and care that she always shows him. I don’t know what we would without her. She is so sweet and kind. I recommend Gen to everyone I know. I can’t say enough about her.

Absolutely Horrible Experience – Do Not Bring Your Dog Here. Costly Vet Bill… I recently moved to the area and decided to take my Old English Sheepdog to this Petco location for grooming. My dog has been groomed her entire life by numerous groomers across different states, and I’ve always been told how friendly, patient, and well-behaved she is during appointments. Unfortunately, my experience here was unlike anything I’ve ever encountered. I dropped her off at 8:15 AM for a full grooming appointment (about $108 with add-ons). After three and a half hours, I received a call from the groomer saying they were unable to finish because of my dog’s “behavior.” They recommended next time booking a VIP appt. So they only would attend to her. I was told she had been in and out of a kennel repeatedly and had become anxious, even having multiple bouts of diarrhea. It became clear to me that the groomer was overbooked and my dog had been left alone and stressed for long periods of time while she tended to multiple dogs. When I arrived to pick her up, I was absolutely heartbroken. My poor dog had once again soiled herself and was dripping all over the floor/legs. She was visibly shaken, wet, and anxious, completely unlike herself. To make matters worse, her haircut was an absolute disaster: uneven chops, patches shaved down to the skin, long hair left on her paws, and her face and head completely untouched. They didn’t even do her nails in the 3.5 hours she was there… I immediately called Anna’s Grooming (about 15 minutes away), and they kindly told me to bring her in so they could assess the damage. They were shocked by her condition and the poor quality of the grooming. Because my dog was so anxious and uncomfortable, they asked me to wait a couple of days before bringing her back to be fixed—and when I did, they did an amazing job correcting what Petco had done. When I got home and examined my dog more closely, I realized why she had been having so much diarrhea. Petco had expressed her anal glands improperly, leaving the area red, swollen, and painful. My vet confirmed this and said it could easily cause infection, so I had to purchase an antibacterial spray to treat her and prevent further complications. I’m absolutely astonished and disgusted by what happened here. This wasn’t just a bad haircut—it was neglect and clear mishandling. My dog has been to countless groomers, even in unfamiliar places, and she has never once reacted this way. Petco tried to blame it on “a new environment,” but that couldn’t be further from the truth. They tried hiding what they had done which is dishonest practice in the first place. Very unethical. Improperly expressing a dog's anal glands can cause inflammation, irritation, pain, and potentially lead to serious complications like infection or abscesses. While it can cause an upset stomach and temporary loose stools due to stress never have them do it here…. 10/10 do NOT recommend bringing your pet here. Save yourself—and your dog—the trauma and go somewhere that truly cares about the animals in their care.
