I arrived for my 10 AM appointment and no one was at the front desk, so I hit the call button to let them know someone had arrived. I waited 10 mins but no one came out. I pressed the call button again. This time someone opens a door and says, “Someone will be right with you”, in an extremely annoyed tone. If it was such an inconvenience to hear the bell a second time, maybe someone should have given a response the first time it rang. After that, I still ended up waiting until almost 10:40 to be seen by the tech. My cat had what I suspected to be a broken or dislocated toe. The tech took her into another room for examination. The doctor eventually came into the room to advise me that she was unable to properly examine the toe because my cat would become very agitated when they attempted to check it out. So there’s no way for her to tell what’s wrong. Of course a cat is going to get upset if you’re trying to touch a wounded body part. Yet they just give up. They don’t allow the exam to happen in the same room as the owner who can assist in keeping their own pet calm. They just say oh well I’m not able to see it. She offered to keep my cat and do x-rays for $700 or she could give me 3 days worth of medication for inflammation. I obviously took the medication and left. I went to a different clinic the following week and was able to get the exam, x-rays, and 2 weeks worth of 2 medications for $266 from a doctor who was genuinely kind and helpful. So I would not recommend this Vetco hospital to anyone. The doctor does not seem like she cares. The only decent thing about this visit was that for first time appointments you get a coupon to waive the exam fee.
