I initially stopped by to inquire about grooming services and was able to book for the very next day. Micah did a phenomenal job grooming my dog. I have an Australian Shepherd, and there’s definitely a specific technique when it comes to trimming their fur. Everywhere I’ve gone before could never quite get it right, but this place exceeded my expectations. I’ll definitely continue bringing him here. The same day I asked about grooming, I also discussed doggy daycare since my dog is extremely energetic and I’ve always wanted to explore that option for him. He’s been attending for the past two weeks and absolutely loves it. The staff is kind, professional, and I really appreciate having access to the cameras. It gives me peace of mind knowing he’s in good hands. I feel 100% comfortable and satisfied with this location. Highly recommend!

They need to learn the difference between hyper and aggressive. my dog was kicked out of doggy daycare for being "too aggressive" I have a malinois with a lot of energy and she is as sweet as can be. They said my other malinois is welcome but she isn't. this is unacceptable. They have also boarded her several times without any issues.

Following up after the business responded to my original review: their reply did not reflect the full experience, so I’m sharing additional facts for accuracy. By the time I called during the evaluation window, one of my dogs had already been placed on a one-hour rotation without that being communicated to me, and after my second call, the same thing occurred again. Daycare is a luxury service, and in this economy, any business should expect that pet parents will be attentive and ask questions about what’s happening with their dogs—especially during an evaluation. Pickup was also disappointing: I wasn’t acknowledged when I arrived, and I did not receive the written evaluation they referenced in their response. The core issue remains the same: lack of proactive communication, lack of follow-through, and a customer experience that felt dismissive rather than professional.

I brought my dogs to The Dog Stop (Katy) for an evaluation. I appreciated that they were able to get us in quickly, but the experience was disappointing due to poor communication and what felt like a lack of real knowledge around dog behavior, training, and redirection. They told me my dog was “mounting” and that he was redirected, but anyone familiar with mounting knows it can be a stress/overstimulation response—especially in a new environment. Their setup is a large, open space with constant barking and noise, which can easily overwhelm a dog (especially compared to facilities that separate dogs by size, temperament, or energy). What really bothered me is that they placed my dog on an hour rotation without informing me, and separated him from his sibling. That separation caused my other dog to panic and run back and forth to the door all day. When I asked if the rotation could be shortened, I was told it depended on whether staff “had time” to rotate dogs—which isn’t what I expect from a daycare. Communication was also a major issue. Evaluations are supposed to last three hours, yet I ended up calling around 4 PM because I couldn’t see my dog on camera—only to be told he wouldn’t be allowed back due to mounting (and mounting his sibling). To make it worse, it was implied this is “normal for dogs attending daycare for the first time,” but my dog is 10 years old and has attended daycare his entire life, which made that comment feel uninformed and dismissive. Finally, when I spoke to someone I assumed was the manager, the attitude came across as flippant and argumentative rather than receptive. I wasn’t looking for conflict—I was asking for basic transparency about what was happening with my dogs during an evaluation. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this facility based on the lack of proactive communication, the handling of the situation, and the unwillingness to take feedback seriously.
