  I shop here for all of my dog, cat, & fish supplies. Pet food is a little pricey, but the VCP membership helps keep that cost down & is well worth the small monthly fee. I’ve visited several area Petcos, but the fish & animals constantly look best at this location. That is very important to me & something I pay close attention to. I also greatly appreciate the manager, Paige! She’s helped me on multiple occasions, answering questions, taking the time to inform me about proper care, and advising me on the best fish for my tanks. I appreciate her wealth of information, and she always remembers me & greets me with a smile. It’s evident she cares for the animals as well as her customers, and it’s because of customer service like that that I drive longer to specifically shop at this location.

  Do NOT book your grooming appointments at Petco in Katy!! We have a Golden Doodle & Yorkie Poodle Mix and have ALWAYS used Petco & never had an issue until today. We booked at the Katy Location due to it being the only location with an open time slot that worked for us and from the start it was terrible. Only needed our Golden Doodle groomed today & brought him in with very minimal matting which PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE employee CHRISTIE-stated was only around his ears/tail. Signed the grooming paper with normal call outs by Christie Health, Fleas, Matting but little did we know they added in fine print to the paper to shave our dog including his tail leaving him looking like a literal rat. Christie failed to call this out on the paper but was VERY QUICK to point out that it was on the paper when we expressed our dissatisfaction with the short shaven cut. Worst groomer we have ever been to. Christie went ahead and told us maybe we should take better care of our dogs grooming at home if we didn’t want him shaved. We told her she should be up front & express the cut we want isn’t possible and we would have brought our service somewhere else. If you aren’t an a capable enough groomer to do what every other Petco Groomer we have had does, then that isn’t a problem we should have to deal with. We told her that we would not be back and she instantly replied “Oh I know”. And to add on top of it, our grooming report card states that our dog would “need to be seen on a calming aid to continue working with him” which is very interesting because he has always got nothing but good reviews at every other Petco appointment so Christie just be the problem??? All in all, Petco in Katy is sad and I would not trust them with my dogs ever again!!!
