I have been taking my dogs to this Banfield location for years, mainly because of Dr. Dhami, who is wonderful and truly cares about her patients.
On November 30, I brought my dog Benji in for bloodwork. The results showed elevated liver values and a few other concerning numbers. I was extremely upset and even began consulting a nutritionist to help him. When the nutritionist asked to see the bloodwork, I realized that Banfield had given me another dog’s blood test results.
I immediately called the clinic and explained the situation. After following up multiple times over the next 3–4 days, I was told they would redo the bloodwork at no charge. However, today I received a call confirming Benji’s appointment and was suddenly informed that I would be charged, and that they now claim all the original work was done correctly. They also said they would finally send me the “correct” results—a month later.
When I reviewed the emailed results, they did not match the paper copy I had previously received, which only added to the confusion and concern.
My biggest issue, aside from the serious error with my dog’s medical records, was the interaction with Christian Estrella. She was extremely rude during our conversation. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told one was not available, and she dismissively said, “It is what it is,” and that I could take my complaint to a higher manager if I wanted.
Between receiving the wrong bloodwork, the lack of accountability, and the unprofessional attitude, I no longer feel confident trusting this clinic with my dog’s care. It’s very disappointing, as I’ve been a loyal client for years, but I will now have to look for another veterinarian.
