I had an extremely disappointing experience with the grooming department at Petco. First, they called me with a sense of urgency, making it seem like there was a serious issue with my dog because he was “barking too much.” Naturally, I rushed over, concerned about what was going on. When I arrived, instead of handling the situation professionally, I was told — very rudely — to stand about 30 feet away from the counter. There was no courtesy, no calm explanation, just attitude. To make matters worse, at the end of it all, I was told that I can’t bring my dog on weekdays anymore because he barks. He’s a dog. Barking is normal behavior, especially in a stressful grooming environment. If your staff cannot handle normal dog behavior, that’s a training and management issue — not a customer issue. The entire situation was handled in an unprofessional and disrespectful way. There was no empathy, no attempt to work with me, and no proper customer service. When you trust a business with your pet, you expect professionalism and respect. Unfortunately, this location completely failed in both areas. I will not be returning and would not recommend this grooming department to anyone.

This review is for their grooming department . They have crap customer service. The grooming lead/manager whatever her title is greets older very round ladies with joy. Anytime I have gone to this location she sneers at me as if I’ve slept with her partner or something. In the past I’ve booked appointments to have my dogs matted ears shaved and they cancel my appointments and state that is a walk in service so I have to stand there and wait all day until a groomer has time to see my dog. This is CRAP.

Took the hound in for a haircut Booked appointment in advance and that made the process quick and easy. Staff are always polite and friendly. They called when the job was done and pickup and payment was quick and seamless. Very efficient and professional process.
