  I brought my 3yo cat in for a wellness exam and rabies vaccine, and the whole experience was incredibly smooth. The staff was welcoming, my cat stayed calm and comfortable, and Dr. Sandra made the exam and vaccine quick and painless. I’ll definitely be coming back!

  I had one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a veterinary clinic. Yesterday, I brought my newly adopted kitten in for a free wellness exam as a new client. I had also noticed something unusual with his eye, so I wanted to make sure everything was okay. During the visit, the staff seemed kind, and the exam went smoothly. They gave him an antibiotic shot and eye treatment. However, once we got home, I noticed black, coffee ground–like debris in his ears while playing with him. Later that evening, he also started scratching himself frequently. I took photos immediately and called the clinic the next day. At first, the customer service representative was polite, but I had to wait a very long time before speaking to someone from the clinic. When I was finally connected, the technician who had seen my kitten was dismissive and spoke over me the entire time. She insisted they had already checked his ears and that nothing was there, and also said I never mentioned ear issues. But that’s exactly the point of a wellness exam — I just adopted this kitten and I don’t know everything that might be wrong. I trusted them to do a thorough check. It was frustrating to hear them suggest the issue “must have appeared after,” especially when I had timestamped photos from the same day. What disappointed me most was not just the oversight, but the attitude. There was no accountability, no apology, and no willingness to listen. When I spoke with another staff member, I was told I would need to come back and pay for another wellness exam. That felt very unfair. If something was missed during the initial exam, I don’t think I should be charged again for the same issue. I was completely willing to pay for treatment or medication, but not for another exam due to their mistake. This situation is especially upsetting because we trust veterinary clinics with the health of our pets. A little empathy, professionalism, and accountability would have made a huge difference. Unfortunately, this experience left me very disappointed.

  We went to Vetco on S shepherd Dr in Houston for annual vaccinations and heartworm / flea prevention meds. The staff was very professional and courteous. They went over the cost beforehand and answered all of our questions. I would definitely bring our dog here again.

  Great experience at Vetco. I was greeted promptly by the ladies at the front desk and was able to get scheduled for same-day service, which I really appreciated. They provided upfront pricing and explained options for my dog’s care, so there were no surprises. The vet tech and doctor were both very gentle with him, and the visit was quick and efficient. I would definitely come back again if needed.

  First time visit at vetco total care and honestly I was alittle unsure just because my cat Luna is very nervous about other people and being outside. From the moment I checked in, from Chris up until the doctor everyone was so welcoming and great. Answered all my questions and concerns and was even great with Luna. Every issue I had they addressed with no issues. I feel great being here and having them treat Luna. I’m 100% certain that my Luna will be treated great here and this is the ONLY spot I’m willing to take her to. This place is great, staff is great! The only downside is I’m upset I didn’t hear about this place sooner.
