I missed my appointment and called to apologize when I realized I was 45 minutes late. I took full responsibility and was told it was “not a problem” and that we would simply reschedule. Despite that, I was still charged a $30 fee, with no consideration for my long-standing history as a client. What made this worse was my follow-up conversation with an attendant named Brooke. At no point did she ask if there was anything they could do to keep my business or acknowledge my loyalty. Instead, she immediately sent me my dog’s records and suggested I could go elsewhere. That response was surprising and frankly disappointing after two decades of trust and support. I understand policies exist, but how situations are handled matters just as much. This interaction felt dismissive and transactional rather than patient- and client-focused. I expected better from a clinic I’ve relied on for so many years. And yes I paid the $30 fee. John Canales
