After years of frustration at another clinic—where I dealt with hour-long wait times, outdated facilities, and a lack of transparency—I finally made the switch in August 2025. My previous vet had suggested it was time to put my 15-year-old dog, Sophie, down for what they claimed were seizures. My gut told me they were wrong, and I am so glad I listened. From the moment we walked into Altas Palmas, the difference was night and day. They truly prioritize both the pet and the owner’s time. Dr. Chen accurately diagnosed Sophie with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and started her on a medication regimen that gave us several more wonderful, high-quality months together. Because of their care, Sophie was her "sassy" self again—swaying her hips on her morning walks like she owned the streets. When Sophie decided she was finally "done" on March 5th, the transition was handled with such grace. Dr. Chen was incredibly loving, and Vinny, the vet tech, was so compassionate during a very difficult time. They treated Sophie like family until the very end. If you are looking for a vet that values medical expertise, cleanliness, and genuine empathy, look no further. Thank you, Altas Palmas, for giving Sophie the vibrant end-of-life care she deserved.
