  I took my dog to Petco for grooming, and I’m beyond disappointed. Not only did they do absolutely nothing that I requested, but they also completely shaved off my pet’s fur, leaving them looking unrecognizable. I was hoping for a basic trim or a neat cut, but instead, they just shaved everything off—no styling or attention to detail. On top of that, they charged me $120 for this subpar service. I won’t be coming back, and I strongly advise anyone considering their grooming services to think twice. This was an incredibly frustrating and upsetting experience. Definitely the worst grooming I've ever received.

  I was recommended by a neighbor to one specific groomer here, D’Angelo. When I called, I talked to him on the phone and scheduled with him. I confirmed, it will be you grooming my dog?! Yes! It will be me. When I dropped my dog off, I confirmed in person, you will be grooming him? Yes! It will be me. I drop off my dog at 11. I didn’t get my dog back until 3:45. They asked me for a tip, and on the tip I see that my dog was groomed by Tiffany instead. I go to get my dog and I said, I specifically asked for D’Angelo. I brought my dog here just for him. She said, I lost a dog today, so he said I could have one of his - “this one”. When he came out, and brought my dog, I confronted him, stating that he lied to me by telllng me over and over again that he would do it and then passed my dog off to another groomer. He said that my dog wasn’t comfortable with him so he gave him to her bc she has more experience. I said, why didn’t you call me to pick him up instead of passing my dog off? He lied to me multiple times. I beg you, don’t take your dog to a place that lies to you. If they lie about this, then they will lie about anything. The ethics are shaky and your animal can’t defend themself. Outside of the continuous lies, this was the most expensive grooming I’ve ever had done, $111 for a small breed under 12 pounds. They charge extra to do nails, they include a materials charge, and charge to brush your dog. For $111 you can pretty much go anywhere. For that, I would expect at the very least, honesty.

  I made an appointment specifically with D’Angelo, and my dog was groomed by Amber instead. This is the second time this has happened with D’Angelo. When I picked up my dog, he was still grooming another dog, even though I was assured at check-in that my appointment was with him. I paid over $100, including an extra brushing charge, and my dog looks terrible. My dog is almost 13 years old and is groomed regularly—he has never needed an extra brushing charge before. The quality of grooming absolutely does not match the price. Petbar across the street recently raised their price by $10, so I thought Petco would be more affordable. I was wrong. $67 plus $25 extra is not worth this level of service or results. I’ll be going back to Petbar
