  I had a very disappointing experience at Banfield Pet Hospital. On Sunday, my dog was attacked at the park, so I took him to Banfield to be examined. They checked him and told me they didn’t find anything wrong. However, later that night, my dog was acting strange, and while petting him I found an open wound that the clinic completely missed. The next day, I had to take him back again so they could finally treat the wound. On top of that, I was prescribed eye medication. I specifically requested eye drops, but they gave me an ointment instead. I did not use it. When I called the next day to have it exchanged for the drops I originally requested, they told me it was not possible and that I would have to pay again — even though the mistake was theirs. This experience was frustrating and concerning. If you go to this location, make sure they carefully check your pet and double-check all medications before you leave.

  After all said & done.. many years of frustration we should have taken action on sooner, we’re done with this pure sales funnel racket called the Banfield Wellness Plan. It’s a scam. 99% of the time if your pet is evaluated at Banfield, then get a 2nd or 3rd opinion elsewhere, you’ll find Banfield is grossly overcharging. They’re private equity owned meaning the original owner sold for a big payday & now the new owner has a major debt they have to service by increasing profit.. and ticket averages per customer. The staff are blinded by job security & leave their ethics & honor at the door. I despise this place. I only wish we would have cancelled sooner. That Wellness Plan is brilliant marketing. Well played, but not anymore. It’s literally refreshing going anywhere else. There has been accusations swirling around this company for years for GOOD reason. Take the advice of many & use a local vet.

  They don’t care for your pet at all! All they care about is getting customers to purchase as many services as they can, even if that comes at a cost to your pet’s health! We trusted the vet only to have them unnecessarily remove our dog’s teeth and now she’s left with a permanent twitch from the horrible procedure. Never ever again!
