DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO BANFIELD – GREENVILLE LOCATION My dog was extremely lethargic, breathing shallow, and could barely walk—very unlike him, as he loved going on walks. I brought him in early one morning. After waiting 30 minutes, they took him back and later told me his bloodwork was “normal,” except for a slightly low blood count. The doctor said since they didn’t know his “average” blood count due to his “old age” (he was only 7), it could be normal. I had to tell the doctor myself that my dog had bloodwork done just three weeks earlier for a dental procedure. Those prior records were not reviewed. When I asked questions, the doctor was dismissive and spoke to me in a condescending manner, repeatedly saying “Like I said…”. I’ve never had issues with Banfield Mesquite, but Greenville was closer—and I will NEVER return. The doctor said she wouldn’t send anything home because of a “sensitive stomach” and told me to come back in two days for more bloodwork. I was not notified when my dog was ready; I had to call back myself. When I picked him up, he was clearly not acting normal. A vet tech told me the delay was because the doctor felt something was wrong in his stomach but didn’t know what it was. Despite this, no additional testing or emergency referral was made. I was told to just let him rest. As the day went on, he got worse. Later that afternoon, he walked up to me, stared into my eyes, and collapsed. He was conscious but unable to move. I called Banfield frantic. The doctor said, “I don’t know why they would leave you home alone with this dog.” My dog weighed 80 lbs, and I was alone. I managed to get him into the car and rushed him to an emergency vet, where we were told he was bleeding internally. Despite blood transfusions and overnight emergency care, our sweet boy did not make it. Internal bleeding was later diagnosed at the emergency hospital and was not identified during our visit at Banfield. Based on our experience, I would not trust this location with my pet’s care.

Made appt for my spike. my brown tabby. Has recently been diagnosed with heart worm and urinary stones. Wanted 2nd opinion on his conditions. Vet was patient and informative and answered all questions. Plus, they provide a pharmacy food card for his RX food. Urinary CD. I am still happy with primary vet but no hesitation on making this my primary vet or urgent care. There was no pressure for labs, diagnostics. They got my medical records from current vet. No issues. I will see them in 6 months for follow up.
