Today I was blindsided by Four Paws when I received a notice of termination of service by them. We have been taking our dog Buzz since he was a puppy and Woody only recently. We have never had any issues with them or so I thought. Then I received this Notice of Termination stating “Due to ongoing disagreements of expenses, activities, and departure times we feel we are no longer the best fit for your pet care needs.”
Here is my response: This entire situation is unacceptable. We have always paid your rates without issue. When I made the reservation, I was asked for an approximate drop-off time and I said around noon. I was never told that we were locked into that time — only that the dogs needed to arrive before closing. For pickup, I was told that after noon would result in a charge for another day, which I understood. The dogs were dropped off around 3pm.
When we arrived to pick them up, your staff member spoke to me in a condescending and disrespectful manner, stating that I was “told” to pick up by noon. I explained the situation — we were dealing with an emergency involving my husband’s elderly mother and storm damage to our home. I apologized for the delay. I never argued about the additional charge. Your staff member chose to waive and even gloated that “she is the only one that can do that”.
Regarding Woody, I clearly communicated that bulldogs cannot be placed in heat-intensive play packs due to serious medical risk, and that he does not interact with other dogs except Buzz. Your staff assured me his plan would reflect that he would only be taken out for brief relief breaks. Yet he was still taken out to play, which is a direct failure on your staff’s part and could have endangered his health. I was explained the day we picked him up this last time that with a reservation they MUST have at least 1 play pack. That in itself should have alerted me on the lack of experience your staff has with English Bulldogs.
The miscommunication here did not come from us. It came from your staff — who demonstrated inexperience, poor communication, and rudeness. I am perfectly comfortable taking my business elsewhere and will make others aware of the issues we experienced. I strongly recommend reviewing your cameras and call recordings so you have a full and accurate understanding of what occurred.
Note: I noticed that the owner likes to comment and heart positively to the good reviews but talks poorly to anyone that gives a negative review. Well I come with receipts so if it was about disagreements about expenses please feel free to check my receipts. I think we are highly capable of providing for our pets.

I brought my senior deaf and blind dog in today for a full groom. He is very well behaved and basically just runs on good vibes. I am always nervous leaving him bc I’m such a mama Bear. We were greeted with professional, dog loving staff and I was immediately at ease. I was able to show what I wanted and even pick out the shampoo from their large selection. I am very happy with the services and we will be returning. Before and after photos attached.

How does daycare benefit dogs?
Daycare is a secure and supervised place built for dogs to have fun! It gives them a place to exercise and stay healthy, keep them mentally and physically busy, and improves social skills with dogs and people. It’s a constructive alternative to being bored at home, which can reduce separation anxiety and destructive behaviors associated with boredom, such as chewing and digging.
Do you require a trial evaluation?
At Four Paws Inn, we pride ourselves on our spectacular safety record. Part of this is requiring all new daycare guests to visit us for a trial day so we can observe their playstyle, energy level and temperament to determine the best daycare program for them.
What will my dog be doing at daycare?
Each daycare guest enjoys playing, socializing, and making new friends in our natural grass outdoor play yard. If your pup enjoys socializing with other dogs, we’ll select the play group for them based on his/her size, age, personality and play style. We also offer an individual daycare program for human-loving pets which includes plenty of one-on-one play and exercise. In between play times, your pet will relax and recharge in a comfy, climate-controlled room with lots of opportunities for bathroom breaks.
